Question: I am looking for anyone who might have the oaklahoma birth index?

My brother and i recently found out our adoption isnt legal. we were needing some informaition in the oaklahoma birth index, a small place to start our search yes as it turns out i was never legally adopted. the people that adopted me changed my name. my brother has a forged birth certificate as well, we are tryin to find out his birth information. we have been told if we do have indian cherokee heritage we can gain benefits for our children's college in the future. i am no longer speaking to my adoptive parents they became so angry they tried to take my child- their granchild from me. oops on their part, the adoption isnt legal so they have no legal grandparents rights in texas and being they never legal adopted me they dont have a leg to stand on. all i wanted was medical records and i find out all of this. i am trying to find my biological mother and my siblings who are suppose to live in oaklahoma. i ask my adoptive parents to be trueful and all i got was you have to proof your word againt ours, they forgot i have a computer and i can find information. legally thanks to all who answer

If you know the city you were born in, you can go to your local library or city registry to find out more information about your birth (and parents). I am not sure what you mean when you say that your adoption is not legal. Were you kidnapped? Unofficially adopted by some relatives? Depending on your situation, there are different ways to approach this. So if you want to give more information, this community can probably help you better.
