i hav close female friend who i love,her b f knows tht i luv her and i spend alot of time wit her including staying at her flat,which invloves sharing a room,im always there when her b f upsets her,including when he kicked the door of her flat in and she called the police on him and she was in tears
Do u think male friendships are as strong as female friendships?
i was thinking about it and girls seem so much closer to their friends, are inseparable & they spend so much time together. Where as boys just don't seem to show companionship at all. Im a female and i would do anything for my group of friends, we've been friends for around 5 years and always make time for each other, we have such fun together and i would never ever intentionally hurt them.So do you think the bond between female friends are stronger than male friends? or is it just that males don't show affection as much?Btw im talking about the majority of girls & the majority of boys im not saying everyone is like this.i think someone has brought up a good point, girls also are there emotionally for eachother where as boys are too afraid to show their feelings & tell their friend every things okay.But i do agree that male bonds are just as close, however looking at male friends of mine, they dont seem very close at all, compared to the girls friendships.I dont agree with people saying girls are bitchy to eachother, yeh maybe girls who are bitches themselves, but i have never and would never bitch about one of my friends neither would they bitch about me. However i do admit that some girls go through a phase of bitching & slagging eachother off, before they grow up.Again i disagree with the person who said girls run away when trouble is around, girls are much more supportive than boys. Girls make it clear that they are always around if their friends need them. Boys are too embarresed to show any feeling.My opinion.

Me and my best friend used to date but have been platonic friends for over a year and have realised that we work better this way. I have never been so close to anyone in my life. People think of us as a married couple we're spending the year abroad studying, sharing a car and a room and a schedule to save money and all year we have got on INCREDIBLY well in the circumstances.However,he recently got interested in a friend of mine the second she got out of a long term relationship. Since then he has totally neglected our friendship and was not there for me when i got really ill and went to hospital. I do not want to BE with him but am finding it hard that he is so absorbed in someone else. We are due to go home in a couple of months and hes saying that he wants to stay here longer. I am a smart girl. I know that his interest in someone else is not to be intimidated by but i feel rejected. How can we nurture back our friendship?He says he misses me but his actions seem to say otherwise?

Boy meets girl. Boy asks girl out on a date. He really likes her. She claims she likes him too. However, she says the typical seven words that every guys hates " I think we should be friends first." So they become friends, but it is just a bunch of yap yap talk talk chit chat. Not enough dating. Not enough kissing. Not enough intimacy. This is how many relationships or even marriages go stagnant. It just gets too lame and boring after a while.

I want to hear the straight men's perspective is it possible to be friends, only friends, with an attractive woman ,who is not looking and won't be looking for anything more other than friendship? Can it work in reality, no flirting involved, or the laws of nature of opposite sexes will prevail?PS. So even if the woman is in a serious relationship, the guys, either single or commited in relationships, would still fantasize about more than friesndship with her?
