Question: If the female is older than the male in a relationship; what's the most number of years they can be apart ?

And the relationship still be workable? Do you guys have any personal experience with large age differences? Does it work at all? What problems might arise?

There's no magical age limit that says it will or won't work. It depends on the couple and how they feel about each other. Some work and some don't just like every other relationship. It's just rare to see is all.

I heard this from my brother one time take your age, divide it by two and add seven, and that is the youngest you should go from whatever age you are. Lets go with 28 28 divided by two is 14 14+ 7= 21 so if you are 28, you should be with someone 21 or older

My ex is about 22 and my new girlfriend is about to turn 23 in October, I'm 20 about to turn 21 in December. Relationship for ex was fien we didn't break up over the age thing if you are wondering. New relationship seems to be good, only had one quip about age. No problems here, but I think 5 years or older is too much.

Personally i felt more in control with a younger guy(rather he was a day younger than me or a couple of years younger), and i don't want to feel that way. i felt that i was more mature and that i could boss him around and i felt that i should take care of him rather than he take care of me. it was an awful feeling for me. but as for you, it okay to date someone younger than you but i recommend you date guys no younger than a couple of years.

Age is nothing but a number. If u really like a person it shouldn't matter how old they are. Problems arise in every relationship even if there is not age difference. You just have to work on them together.
