Our Review of “Double Her Desire – www.double-her-desire.com”

Review: This is classic long-form hard-sell, promoting the sizzle but not much else. First, if you give up your email address you get ‘instant’ access to what is introduced as a ‘hot’ video. This loads with extreme slowness and is anything but ‘hot’.

The supposed expert, Gabriel Moore – more than likely just a hired voice-over due to her seductive tones – claims to have coached thousands of couples over the years, yet doesn’t state her professional qualifications or location at any stage. She then sets about delivering a patronizing lecture aimed purely at men with low IQs, berating them for watching pornography or straying from their partner when they cannot get sexual satisfaction.

When you have almost died of boredom waiting for the ‘hot’ video to play you are so frustrated (as you are supposed to be) that you have learnt nothing – except the word ‘affection’ and its literal meaning – that you click onto the bar that says get ‘full access’.

You do get full access, but unfortunately only to a hard sell formula of endless, meaningless statements intended to get you begging for the relief of the ‘secrets’ of good sexual relationships.

To be fair the author or authors do list the contents of various parts of the books you are supposed to receive, and these can be intriguing – but please note the grammar – “the most important innate, cranial need for woman that MUST be met before sex can occur.”

I am wondering about ‘woman’ and her cranial need, but I’m sure a good clubbing is the secret answer – what else does a cranium need?

Value for money: Although a beautifully boxed set of learning modules along with DVD are depicted for the now discounted price of $67 (marked down from $97) all you really get for your money is the downloadable ebook. I’ve no idea what is in that book because the maximum I would pay for an ebook is around $10 and I would have to have all sorts of quality indicators before purchasing, none of which I have detected with this sales pitch.

Two things are certain. $67 is a lot to pay for advice on affection – although it is pointed out that people (people being men) spend a heck of a lot more than that on junk food in a year (is there some correlation I’m missing here?) and you have already given up your email address, possibly to be onsold to any number of junk-mail purveyors. So whether you buy or not, your email address has been given up.

In summary, however, this is a wonderfully presented piece of long-form marketing done to perfection, although as a man I find its sexist orientation against men – as if they are the only ones bungling sex and that it is completely up to them alone to make the sexual experience satisfying – as highly offensive.

Read our Review of Amy Waterman’s “Save My Marriage-http://www.privateprofitmarketers.com/”

Review: Amy Waterman, the main author of “Save My Marriage” appears to be one of the few non-charlatans in an otherwise charlatan-riddled field. Her free 6 part course “Save My Marriage” and free ebook (same content) is well written and maintains a logical progression, useful to people genuinely interested in finding ways to repair and better their marriage.

Amy makes no pretense that she is a psychologist or is degreed in any particular way, and I don’t see this as a problem in this field as marriage advice depends more on one’s emotional intelligence and good sense, and Amy seems well armed in that arena. Marriage is a dynamic medium and should be addressed in terms of its underpinnings, and this is what Amy does, systematically and constructively.

I was disappointed to see the usual relapse…

“Yes Amy, I Don’t Want To Wait A Moment Longer! I Need Save My Marriage Today Immediately!”

…like I was intending to get the new ‘cyclone’ vacuum cleaner that will revolutionize shag pile cleaning, but, that’s show-biz. Who says marriage is just another consumer commodity?

Value for money: As I have mentioned in other reviews $10 tops is all anyone should pay for a downloadable ebook, and  RRP $97 $49.95 is well in excess of $10 (why do people pretend to mark down ebooks? Do they get old and the pages go brown?). But, given that the subscribers have already received a free 6 part course before even being offered the ebook, and seeing the contents of that course appear to be genuinely useful, the $50 price tag is tolerable. A lot of thought and work has gone into Amy’s site and content, and I don’t imagine in this field shoppers are falling over themselves to buy, so it is reasonable reward for effort.

Read our Review of “Catch A Cheater-http://www.cheatingmarriage.com”

Review: Well the first thing that springs to mind is – why would anybody write this? But actually in fairness I recall a reality TV show that had couples being caught ‘live’ cheating and that was pretty high rating (although it was probably canned because of the legal fallout that ensued). So a lot of people are interested in finding out if their spouse cheats on them or not, and this advice might save them a small fortune in private investigator fees.

Personally I think it is a giant waste of time. If your partner is cheating on you and you don’t know about it, then a) you have nothing to worry about because you don’t know about it, so best to let sleeping dogs lie, and b) if your partner is not making signs they want to leave the marriage then the affair is probably doing them some good because they are getting something that is missing in the marriage – although I acknowledge that is a little too ego-bruising for most people to swallow.

Matt Peters, who does not identify himself as the author of the ‘manual’, or make mention of himself in any other way in relation as to why we should heed his advice, is reasonably accurate with the statistics, that between 50 -75% of men and women cheat during marriage. He is not advocating punishment of any kind, merely relating to the would-be purchaser how to identify if an affair is taking place and how to catch the straying spouse or prevent transgressions even before they occur.

So from a moral point of view he is declaring himself neutral. This reminds me a little of arms dealers who claim they are not advocating violence because they do not use the weapons they provide.

Value for money: Matt has hit the nail right on the head price-wise and buys himself another star for that. His price (if you are in the spouse hunting business) is fair. $10 buys you the ebook with all the supposed insider ‘secrets’ on how to catch that ungrateful other-half in the act or even while they are only thinking about it.

Read our Review of  “MarriageSherpa - http://www.marriagesherpa.com”

Review: From the get-go this site makes one uncomfortable. The slow loading video immediately establishes a sexist platform whereby all the blame for marriage breakdown can be attributed to those pesky cheating males. So let’s assume this site is aimed purely at women in a vulnerable state after discovering hubby has been on the nest somewhere else, although one wonders what these men are sleeping with – sheep? Because it assumes only men cheat.

It seems the long-form sales-pitch has graduated from the written word to someone reading the written word for us, because we are now all too lazy to even read for ourselves. The tediously long intro has only one aim and that is to establish the monumental nastiness of cheating males who gather up all their partner’s pure and delicate dreams before deliberately shattering them with a baseball bat bearing the skull and crossbones insignia. Think of this as a great shot in the arm for female man-haters everywhere.

Unlike most sites Marriage Sherpa purports to have an actual psychologist, Dr. Frank Gunzburg, at the helm. He is the author of “How To Survive an Affair” and “Saving Your Marriage” (although I could only find 1 book in which Dr. Gunzburg was featured as a contributing author on Amazon “Warning Signs”). He is reported as a 35 year veteran of marriage counseling, apparently having counseled ‘thousands’ of unhappy couples. What is on offer by the good doctor seems to be authentic and useful, but the only trouble I have with using ‘the doctor’ marketing advantage is the completely sexist approach to his website(s). Why a doctor of psychology and marriage counseling would choose to have his name used in support of such a biased perspective eludes me.

As far as advice Marriage Sherpa promises an ebook and an audio book that you can burn to CD. The primary message of this site is ‘restore the honesty’. So I assume that means the damaged woman concerned is suddenly going to start telling her cheating partner the absolute truth whilst basking in the glow of her own purified honesty. The assumption that her cheating %^$#! male partner will play along is another matter.

Value for money: “So that you can afford it” they have reduced the price from $97 to $39.95. (So from 97 bucks down to 40? – I fail to see the connection, or are they just nice people reducing the price by more than half because they know how poor you are?) with an ‘extended’ 60 day refund period. To their credit they do offer an 800 phone number and an email address should you want a refund. As to whether or not the phone number works or the email address is valid I will never find out, because 40 bucks for an ebook and a recording is just too much.

Read our Review of  “Sexless Marriage – www.sexlessmarriagecure.com”

Review: It would be nice if someone did not go through the long-form selling process for a change, because the hard-sell always creates suspicion, but I suppose if that is the proven formulae then we all have to endure it. “Sexless Marriage Cure” is the usual litany of bogus sounding claims and rather silly stunts, like - Here’s PROOF This Works followed by a bunch of testimonials supposedly written by Marshall, or Candice, or Mary – which are just a bunch of meaningless first names on paper and prove nothing.

Then comes the 56 day guarantee (is it 56 because that is 2X28 with 28 being symbolic of PMT, resulting in ‘No Sex’, or am I just reading all that into the strange choice of 56 days?) and the marked down price from the Normal Price of $27 to $9.95? When does this silliness end? Are we all still so naive that we actually think we get our money back from an internet site selling an ebook or that the price ever was $27? Why not just let us read the first Chapter and tell us it’s $9.95 non-refundable if we buy it?

But there is a positive side to this site – the subject. It is addressing a foundation problem for marriage. If there is trouble with the marriage it expresses itself in the bedroom first and foremost. The list of signs that your sex life and marriage are in trouble, as cited by the author of “Saving Your Sexless Marriage”, are accurate and obviously drawn from knowledge and understanding of the subject matter. Christine Taylor makes no pretense to be a qualified expert or to have drawn from anything other than life-experience to produce her work, so bravo Christine for your honesty.

Value for money: The price at $9.95 is what an ebook should be -10 bucks and no more. No only do you get “Saving Your Sexless Marriage” but also free bonuses of “Improving Your Marriage” and “Saving Your Marriage – Develop a Life-Long Love”. The price plus these bonuses suggests that there has been considerable effort on the part of the author and there is a genuine undertaking to give value for money.

Read our Review of “21 Steps to Save the Relationship – www.21stepsrelationship.com”

Review: This site hints at good value to come. It is well written and does not pull punches. Rather than suggest a lot of sentimental claptrap it clearly states commonsense advice obviously gleaned from experience e.g. give your partner space, don’t say you’ll change, and so on.

It also, thankfully, does not go into the usual hard-sell. All goes well until the last hurdle where this silliness appears:

Note: These steps are VERY powerful. I would advise that you only follow these steps if you really want your partner back for good.

I must repeat this statement because this is very serious. These steps although simple are VERY POWERFUL. I would advise that you only follow these steps if you really want your partner back for good.

So, ladies and gentlemen, make sure you really want your partner back before implementing these VERY POWERFUL steps because the power they unleash is apparently irreversible.

Value for Money: The silliness does not end there, unfortunately. The price “for only $23.17 US/£15.23 GBP approx” – $23.17? So what is the author’s home currency, the Zambian Kwacha?

Personally, as has been stated in numerous reviews, I would not pay anything over $10 for any ebook, but if the advice in this particular ebook follows that on the site then it may be worth the risk. This subject is about saving a relationship and such an undertaking usually requires a level head and a firm hand, and this author seems to possess that – except when estimating the power of the 21 steps and the price of the ebook.

Read our review of “Let’s talk…Man to Woman – www.man2woman.net”

Review: ‘Man to Woman’ is a good idea – have a man demystify men by telling women what men are really on about – in fact this is a vaguely similar notion to “The Art of Creating Alpha Males”.  However the latter is researched by a scientist and refers to evolutionary science, not just some guy’s opinion.

All the hallmarks of amateurism can be found in this site, from the use of multiple punctuation marks???? !!!! to SHOUTING and SHOUTING BOLD IN ITALICS. Owen Johnson, the author, even mentions that Foxit PDF is his favorite reader – WHY ????!!!!

The writing in this site seems aimed at a low level of intelligence. Whether or not that is deliberate or an accident on the part of the writer is not clear, but it does indicate the book would be of the same ilk. Who knows – if it helps an unintelligent woman find an unintelligent man then it has successfully delivered its promise of pairing people up.

Value for Money: I cannot say for certain that “Let’s Talk Man to Woman” is an amateurish work because at $14.95 for an ebook I’m just not buying it. You do, however, get a bonus offer for any lady’s ad to be rewritten for whatever dating site or personal column you prefer. “If you already have one (ad) I can guarantee to increase your responses and improve the QUALITY of the responses!” I wonder, is that a MONEY BACK guarantee????

Good idea, bad execution. Owen earns an extra star for the idea and for being brave enough to include his email address, but then he couldn’t get your ad rewrites without it.

Read our Review of “Magic of Making Up – www.magicofmakingup.com”

Review: Some people should realize it is not a good idea to be the star of your own show, and T. W. Jackson – call me T-Dub – is one of them. If his judgment is so poor that he does not perceive how bad his own presentation is then how can we have faith in his ability to disperse worthwhile information?

If you can bear to sit through his down-home, I’m-a-nice-guy, sorry-this-ain’t-too-technically-good videos, he does, surprisingly, give some worthwhile advice. Any good this achieves is neutralized, however, by obvious manipulative statements like:

“Frankly, I get a little freaked out about just how well it works…and worry that it may be used for less than honorable intentions. I mean I want to help GOOD people…I don’t want to help JERKS get girls back that would be better off without them. I do NOT want to help “psycho chick” steal away a married man.

Like a knife, these techniques and principles can be used for great good or grave harm.

This is NOT FOR

-Stalkers

-Ex Convicts

-People with severe mental problems

-Other Crazies, Cuckoos or Whack Jobs”

Value for Money: US$39. This buys you the “mind control” techniques T-Dub talks of, and it is lucky for us that Stalkers, Ex-Convicts (having paid their debt to society or not), People with severe mental problems, Other crazies, Cuckoos or Whack Jobs do not have that much money or have already excluded themselves due to their affliction. In my opinion the numbers in the price are correct but the placement of the full stop is wrong – US$3.9
